SOC 2026 Dance Auditions
When/Where:
Sunday, August 30, 2026 at 1:00pm in the MPC Sanctuary
Important Dates to Consider Prior to Auditons:
Rehearsals will take place on Sundays between 1:00- 4:00pm beginning September 13th.
Attendance is required at all 4 technical rehearsals December 7 - December 10 from 7pm-9pm.
Participation is required at all 4 productions: Saturday, December 12 and Sunday, December 13 at 3pm and 7pm.
Audition Details:
What to Prepare: Please learn the routine(s) for the dance category(s) you plan to audition for. If you’re interested in more than one category, you are welcome to learn and audition multiple routines.
Jazz/Broadway/Acro Audition Tutorial — If you are interested in acro/tumbling, please learn this routine and you will showcase your tumbling skills individually
What to Wear: Comfortable clothing and dance shoes (i.e. modest workout clothing, leotards/skirts, dance pants, etc.)
How will the Audition Work? We will audition one dance category at a time. All who are interested in that particular category will perform the audition routine on stage together 2-3 times. (i.e. Everyone who is auditioning for advanced ballet/lyrical will dance together. We will run the number a few times. If you are only auditioning for advanced ballet/lyrical, you will be dismissed. If you are auditioning for jazz as well, you will stay until the jazz group is called to audition).
