WEEK 2 LESSON: November 8, 2026
G2K: When I worship God, I can be sincere.
Memory Verse: 1 Corinthians 16:13 - “Be on your guard; stand firm in the faith; be courageous; be strong.”
Bible Lesson: Amos: Amos 5:18-24; (Matthew 25:1-13)
WEEKLY CHALLENGE: This week, we learned about the prophet named Amos. Amos had a message from God that was breaking news for everyone. Through Amos, God was letting the people of Israel know that they were not being sincere in their worship. God had noticed they had forgotten how to worship God with their whole heart, soul, mind, and strength. They had forgotten to take care of each other and decided not to look out for those who needed help. Did you know that Jesus’ return is a lot like breaking news? We don’t know when it’s going to happen! While we wait for Jesus’ return, we should practice worship by living a life that honors God. We practice that in the way we live, the way we talk, the way we think . . . and when we choose to be sincere in all of those things. When I worship God, I can be sincere.
