WEEK 2 LESSON: March 8, 2026
G2K: I’m invited to love like Jesus does.
Memory Verse: John 1:12
Bible Lesson: Jesus and the Samaritan Woman: John 4:5–42; 1 John 4:7–12
WEEKLY CHALLENGE: This week, we taught the kids about when Jesus met the woman at the well, he made a point to help her feel included and loved. He did this by talking with her and listening to what she had to say. His moment of kindness showed her and everyone in her community that Jesus cared. Now that we know we’re invited to love like Jesus does, I want us to remember one small act of kindness we can do to help others feel loved.
Weekly Challenge Instructions: To reinforce this lesson; Click Here to download the handout, then give your child a bendy straw, yarn, hole punchers, scissors, and tape. Cut out and assemble the pieces of the well and pail. Have them write a loving act they can do this week on the blank space of the pail. They can also write the Good to Know. Attach yarn to the back of the pail and attach the other end to the straw. Wind the bendy part of the straw to pull the pail up. See a worked example here.
