WEEK 1 LESSON: September 6, 2026
G2K: God teaches us how to lead.
Memory Verse: Psalm 25:4 - "Show me your ways, Lord, teach me your paths."
Bible Lesson: God Calls Moses: Exodus 2-3:15; Romans 12:9-21
WEEKLY CHALLENGE: The jungle is full of surprises and, sometimes, so is God’s plan! This week, God speaks to Moses through a burning bush and calls him to do something huge—help rescue the Israelites from Egypt. Moses didn’t feel ready, but God showed him how to lead one step at a time. When we listen and learn, God teaches us how to lead.
Weekly Challenge Instructions: Jungle explorers rarely go anywhere without their own journals to jot down notes about what they see out in the wild. Let's make our own jungle journals to write today's Good to Know and write or draw some things to help us remember what God is teaching us this month.
Supplies: 5 sheets of paper, yarn or twine, crayons or markers, and stickers
What to Do: Kids can make their Jungle Journal by folding five pieces of paper in half and punching two holes along the crease. String a piece of yarn or twine through the holes and tie a knot. Have kids decorate with their own drawings or jungle-themed stickers. See a worked example here.
As God teaches us how to lead, we need to make sure we are looking, watching, and following closely!
