WEEK 2 LESSON: September 13, 2026
WEEK 2 LESSON: September 13, 2026
G2K: We follow God's lead.
Memory Verse: Psalm 25:4 - "Show me your ways, Lord, teach me your paths."
Bible Lesson: The Plagues and Passover: Exodus 7:14-10:29, 12:1- 14; 1 Peter 1:13-21
WEEKLY CHALLENGE: Sometimes the path gets wild—like frogs falling from the sky or rivers turning to blood! This week, God sent ten plagues to show Pharaoh that it was time to let the Israelites go, and God protected the people who followed the plan. Even in chaos, when we trust where God is going, we follow God’s lead.
Weekly Challenge Instructions: This week, we’re making a Jungle Tree Pencil Holder. To make the pencil holder, roll a piece of corrugated cardboard and glue the ends together (or use toilet paper tubes). Press one end into a piece of air-dry clay as its stand. Have your child make leaves out of construction paper or tissue paper, attach them to pipe cleaners, then tape the pipe cleaners along the inner rim of the pencil holder. Your child can can wrap regular pencils with wood-textured tape and place them in their new holders. See a worked example here.
Supplies: corrugated cardboard or toilet paper tubes, glue or tape, air-dry clay, construction or tissue paper, pipe cleaners
Trees in the jungle have incredibly deep roots—that's how they grow so tall and provide shade and shelter for the jungle's various inhabitants. When we likewise grow deep roots in trusting God, we follow God's lead with so much ease and confidence!
