G2K: God leads us to safety.
Memory Verse: Psalm 25:4 - "Show me your ways, Lord, teach me your paths."
Bible Lesson: The Israelites Escape Egypt: Exodus 13:17—15:21; Psalm 91
WEEKLY CHALLENGE: Some adventures feel like there’s no way out—but God always makes a way. This week, it looks like the Israelites are trapped. But Moses leads the Israelites out of Egypt, and God parts the Red Sea so they can escape safely. Even when things look impossible, God leads us to safety.
Weekly Challenge Instructions: This week, we’re making a compass. Click here for instructions on a compass experiment you and your kids can try using safety pins, paper clips, or hairpins, along with corks and refrigerator magnets. The compass can help them remember today's Good to Know, “God leads us to safety.”
A compass is a very useful tool out in the jungle. As long as you can figure out where North is, you can orient yourself in the right direction. God leads us to safety through what we learn in the Bible and the people who lovingly guide us. As long as we can find our way to God, we will always be safe!
