Bible Lesson: The Israelites in the Wilderness: Exodus 15:22-25, 16:1-16; Isaiah 41:17-20
WEEKLY CHALLENGE: Wandering in the wilderness is no joke—no snacks, no water, and tired feet! This week, the Israelites were hungry and unsure if they’d have what they needed to keep going. But God gave them clean water and bread from the sky. No matter how big or small our needs are, God will lead us to what we need.
Weekly Challenge Instructions: This week, we’re making a Jungle Layers Prayer Tree. Have your child use this Jungle Tree printable to color and cut out the treetop shape. Then, they can color and cut out all the jungle animal pieces. Give your child a paint stirrer stick that they can color in like a tree trunk then glue on the treetop. Have them glue on each animal on its own separate clothespin at the end with the teeth. On the pincher end, have them write five things they currently need or want in their lives. As they pray for these things, they can move the pins around in order of priority. See a worked example here.
Your child can use their tree as a reminder that God leads us to what we need!
