WEEK 2 LESSON: June 14, 2026

WEEK 2 LESSON: June 14, 2026

G2K: We are made in God’s image.

Memory Verse: Psalm 24:1 - “The earth is the Lord’s, and everything in it, the world, and all who live in it.”

Bible Lesson: God Creates Humans: Genesis 1:26–31, 2:4–7; Matthew 9:35– 10:8

WEEKLY CHALLENGE: This week, we talked about how we are made in God’s image. Just as a mirror reflects what is placed in front of it, God created us to reflect His love, kindness, creativity, and goodness to the world around us. Genesis 1:27 reminds us that every person is uniquely created by God and has great value and purpose. No matter what kind of day we are having, we can remember that we are loved by God and made to reflect His light.

Weekly Challenge Instructions: To reinforce this lesson, use this activity; Help your child create a simple mirror craft using a mirror sheet piece of cardstock or construction paper or a square of smooth aluminum foil. Attach the foil to the paper and decorate the frame with markers, crayons, or stickers. Then write this week’s Good 2 Know somewhere on the frame: “We Are Made in God’s Image.” Place the mirror craft somewhere your child will see it throughout the week. Each time they look into it, remind them that God made them with purpose, loves them deeply, and delights in them. Whether they are having an awesome day or a difficult one, this simple activity can help them remember that they are fearfully and wonderfully made and created to reflect God’s light to others. See a worked example here.

FAMILY TIME: Use these questions to start a conversation with your children about this week’s lesson.
