Bible Lesson: Jesus is Baptized: Mark 1:4-11; Acts 19:1-7
WEEKLY CHALLENGE: This week, your child learned that we can know forgiveness because of Jesus. As a family, create a simple Wipe Away Board as a reminder that Jesus offers true forgiveness. Throughout the week, encourage your child to write down a mistake or something they need to ask forgiveness for, then wipe it clean with a tissue or dry-erase cloth. As the words disappear, remind them that when we come to Jesus with a sincere heart, He forgives us completely. Use this activity as an opportunity to talk together about God's amazing grace, pray as a family, and celebrate the new beginning we have because of Jesus.
Weekly Challenge Instructions: To reinforce this lesson, use this activity;
What to Do: Have you child decorate a laminated whiteboard or dry-erase card shaped like a speech bubble or smartphone screen.
At the top it says: Jesus Washes Away My Sin
Kids write a mistake with a dry-erase marker.
Then...they wipe it completely clean with a tissue or cloth.
Repeat all week long.
