Bible Lesson: Abraham, Sarah, and Isaac: Genesis 21:1–6, 22:1–14; Psalm 139:1–12
WEEKLY CHALLENGE: This week, we taught that we can trust God to provide! Abraham trusted God even when he did not understand what was happening. At the right moment, God provided a ram in place of Isaac and reminded Abraham that He always sees our needs and provides exactly what we need at the perfect time. Abraham named that place, "The LORD Will Provide," because he learned that God is faithful and can always be trusted.
Weekly Challenge Instructions: To reinforce this lesson, help your child create a "The Lord Will Provide" altar craft. Give your child a copy of the “God Provides” handout and a paper cup. Have them color and cut out the ram, Isaac, and altar pieces. Wrap the altar around an upside-down cup and secure it with glue or tape. For added texture, glue cotton balls onto the ram and small strips of brown paper onto the altar to look like logs. Place Isaac on the altar, then swap him out for the ram as a reminder that God provided exactly what Abraham needed at just the right time. Each time your child sees their craft, let it remind them that even when they do not understand how or when, God always knows what we need, and we can trust Him to provide.
