WEEKLY CHALLENGE: This week, we taught that the Bible reveals how to share God's love, and like Jesus said to Peter, we can do this by taking care of God's sheep. We can start by telling people all about who Jesus is. When we help others find their way to Jesus, we are leading them straight to God's love!

Weekly Challenge Instructions: To reinforce this lesson, use this activity; Print the Missing Sheep handout and set out markers or crayons, magnets, tape, paper clips, jumbo craft sticks, and scissors. Have your kids color the images. Next, cut out each sheep and attach a paper clip to each one. Then tape a magnet to a craft stick. Demonstrate how your kids can use the magnet connected to the popsicle stick under their maze to move the sheep through the maze. See a worked example here.

FAMILY TIME: Use these questions to start a conversation with your children about this week’s lesson.

Scripture Questions:

  • What were the disciples doing all night long without any luck? What changed?

  • What did Peter do when he recognized Jesus?

  • Read John 10:11. How do we know that Jesus is the good shepherd?

Application Questions:

  • What are some of the ways Jesus showed love in today's Bible story?

  • How is telling someone about Jesus one way you can share God's love with them?

  • What are some ways you can show God's love to others like Jesus did?
