WEEK 3 LESSON: October 18, 2026

WEEK 3 LESSON: October 18, 2026

G2K: God will make things right.

Memory Verse: Psalm 42:8 - "By day the Lord directs his love, at night his song is with me."

Bible Lesson: Joseph Reunites with His Family: Genesis 42:1-8; 45; Isaiah 56:1, 6-8

WEEKLY CHALLENGE: When people hurt us, it can feel like the whole story has gone wrong. This week, Joseph had a chance to get even with his brothers—but instead, he forgave them and helped his family. Even though it was a hard journey, Joseph saw that God was working for good. No matter what happens, God will make things right.

Weekly Challenge Instructions: Give your child a copy of the “Make It Right” Bingo printable. The Bingo card is half-filled with ideas about making things right. Brainstorm a few more ideas together to fill up the blank spaces. Encourage your child to spend the upcoming week trying to get four in a row or more!

We learned today that God will make things right, but we can make things right, too. We can start with small things every day to make our world a little bit "righter!" Which ones can you start with? How will these make things right?

Bible Questions:

  • When Joseph's brothers came to Egypt to buy grain, did they recognize Joseph? Why do you think that was?

  • Even though Joseph's brothers had treated him badly in the past, what does he say to them?

  • Read Isaiah 56:1. Can you think of a time when you or someone you know acted out of justice? How about a time you didn't but would do things differently next time?

  • Why do you think that sometimes God doesn't make things right immediately?
